The Open Rain Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Open Rain

Into the open rain I strayed
Bare unto the world
A soul naked, open to all
Felt the touch and taste
Of each rain drop upon
The tongue and lips
So pure and innocent
Natures sweet wine
What nectar feeds this place
These lands and seas
Each mountain and tree
The spirits of all life
Each fed and grown
From such waters above
The purity and the beauty
Naked I stood
And let it wash over me
