The Opium Eaters Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

The Opium Eaters

Rating: 5.0

Addict weak shaky bought
in checked wave line motion.
Fifty sturdy dollars worth
elixir dream time life potion.
Absorbent sacred ball spinning
holy thin line magic flame bidden.
Uncut pure sudden dream death
worship magic mushroom lotion.

In vestige ritual days of seer use Ancient Egypt
powers of magic mushroom were temple sacred.
In Odyssey weary trireme warriors of Odysseus
were lost in trip addiction on island of opium eaters.
In an age incorporating scientific inventions absolute
misfits lost within masses use cocaine or hero heroin.
