Obscurantists,
Philistines & sycophants:
Anyone but him.
Mediocrities,
Popinjays & poltroons:
Anyone but him.
Corporate clowns
& silver - tongued deceivers
Anyone but him.
Neanderthals
& grotesque token gestures
Anyone but him.
Backstabbers
& petty minded bureaucrats
Anyone but him.
Yet who will have the last laugh,
When all is said and done,
Not them but him!

I believe my late father would have enjoyed reading your poem Dominic. He would have wholeheartedly agreed with you in the satirical and most cutting message. So cleverly well written that oozes great satire from beginning to its end. Five stars my friend and take care.
