The Pain Never Goes Away - Poem by Amy Louise Kerswell

The pain of abuse
Has never gone away for me.
It has stayed with me everyday.
I may as well still be
Being attacked.
For my soul is attacked
Every day from the pain
That I do feel.

My soul is scared
My heart a heavy sack.
My mind a mess of a mess

Your poems are so sad but only you
can let go and move on to create
the world the way you want it to be.
    Only you!
    May God bless you!
