The Parting Of The Ways - Poem by shah majid

From the time we gaze at the moonlit bay,
To the time we looked for the only way,
To search and experience of what may lay,
I seemed to enjoy those exuberant days,
But come a time when fate seems to play,
A card that forces a very steep pay,
And though we assured with words of okay,
I still sense the parting of ways,
As soon as tomorrow or maybe today,
I hope it will not because I will pray,
For God to listen and make it delay,
But when it comes, I hope I'll slay,
The grief in me a solid clay,
For then I can tell you in a single say,
For you to understand the fate of our ways.
