The Passion To Know Hidden Mysteries Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Passion To Know Hidden Mysteries

The passion to know hidden mysteries—
Of my true essence, true meaning,
and the mesmerizing universe—
burns within my chest:
an unquenchable flame,
keeping me longing, day after day.

Without this fire,
what would remain of me?
My chest, an empty vessel,
devoid of the treasure of wisdom—
a hollow filled with fleeting imaginings
and the bitter taste of salty dreams.

'I'm strong enough, ' 'I can do this, '
these words echo in my mind.
Since the day I left paradise,
this thought has lived within me:
to return to my first state of purity.

But how can I find my way back?
How can I step once more
into that sacred space?
This passion propels me,
urging me to search for
the paradise I've lost,
to reclaim the essence
that was mine.

I crave peace—
a stillness beyond understanding.
I chase love—
its warmth a beacon through the night.
I battle against the harsh winds, unyielding.
Yet I am never tired—
for this is my fight, my purpose:
to return to the home I once knew,
to the place where all is one,
and I am whole again.
