The Perfect Crime - Poem by Paula Robinson

Your blade twisted in my heart
Scarlett spatters, work of art

No news reports on microfiche
No organs lying in a dish

No police cell, no prison time
My broken heart, the perfect crime

Yes, this is perfect, all right: A perfect three-verse poem with tight couplets full of imagery and metaphor. I especially like this couplet:
    'No news reports on microfiche
No organs lying in a dish.'

    Bravo!

A less than perfect crime. You definitely still have a beautiful heart and it shows in this great poem. (Report)Reply
