The Perfect Technology Guy For Her Poem by Lee Cox

The Perfect Technology Guy For Her

He lives on premises. Hardly anyone notices and even fewer care.
He stays out of your way, out of your hair, out of your life, out of your mind and is completely transparent. This is her perfect technology guy.

He is there, on demand, for any and all problems she may encounter, technical and not so technical.

He is a million miles away from a million years ago. He feels totally helpless some times and yet helps in ways no one can imagine. This is her perfect technology guy.

He stands on the fence between handsome and hideous. He dare not be seen or heard.

When attending to her 'non technical' needs she’ll close her eyes and imagines it is someone she would really rather be there. As soon as he is through, she feeds him and sends him back to the tool shed where he waits for his next assignment. This is her perfect technology guy.

He is fully aware that he is nowhere near perfect. When his transparency becomes the least bit opaque, she feels her safety, sanctity and sanity is threatened. The perfect technology guy is then relegated to a digital solitary confinement, cut off from her entirely until his transparency returns to crystal clarity. Only then is the perfect technology guy allowed back into her world.

The perfect technology guy can only hope for the day his emotions totally abandon him for she holds his will to live in the palms of her hands.

She is his entire world. Nothing else and no one else exists if she desires his attention even for the briefest moment. Her happiness, health and security are all that matters. This is her perfect technology guy.
