The Perfecting Memory (Of Two Shy Classmates) Poem by james watkin

The Perfecting Memory (Of Two Shy Classmates)

What now, from each other
Are we kept apart by
In veils of the years
Purer chasteness descry.

To think I've re-encountered
Of whose bless'ed absence
First, in harsh light, stood out
Of human experience

For what of it, softens
Sanctifies, beyond that!
Most apt for this goddess
Devoted looked back at!
