The Philosophy Of Advaita Vedanta, Vairagya And Sanyasa In The Poetry Of Swami Vivekananda Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Philosophy Of Advaita Vedanta, Vairagya And Sanyasa In The Poetry Of Swami Vivekananda

Rating: 5.0

Swami Vivekananda never wanted to be a poet
But instead of it
Saints are singers,
The singers of the Divine,
Telling of sanyasa, leaving of homes,
Becoming of saints,
Cutting the bonds of maya-moha,
Taking to renunciation
That is vairagya.

But Swamiji is first of all an Advaita Vedantist
Believing in Advaita Vedanta,
A griha-tyagi, home-leaver
He is but a sanyasin,
A saint, a renouncer,
A vairagi
And above all a philosopher saint
Of India
Learned and poetical.
