The Prayerful Generals (American Civil War) Poem by james watkin

The Prayerful Generals (American Civil War)

Dumb explaining; later questioned.
In what had come over them.
Who, great in war greater, at peace
Come away; fearings' hordres stem.

Strength of command's call for to march
Of a higher call to prayer
Compelled. As must they cadet-like
Thunderous-impressive bear.
