A man told her said,
Read Rumi and learn to dirvish
A wise lover can make
many a man or woman
do many things -
it is whiskey sometimes...
seductive wine others...
looking back then, they had
eaten weather and tamed climates
they had been skin like good cognac...
she remembered one lover
who beseeched her in German
to take a photograph on a park
bench in the merciless snow
and she did... her eyes catching
sunlight from his
glance, adagio sun flickers...
There was no ice and snow
within that sphere of time...
A wise lover can do this, make
life verse conquered yet seductive.
Make a lover wander with them, lay
down like wolves in the snow.
