The Profession Poem by Quintin Bouillon

The Profession

They say you should know what you're gonna do
By the time you're a senior in school.
But in my case this just isn't true
I feel just like the class fool.

When I was younger I thought I knew
To go into theatre, following my dream.
But now I'm begging to get a clue
That won't be my life's theme.

To be a lawyer is what I really want.
To argue and question every statement
And to search for every answer, to hunt
For what every witness meant.

Or maybe not…I guess we'll see.
What my life may bring to me.
