The Prophet's Humility: A Symphony Of Simplicity Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Prophet's Humility: A Symphony Of Simplicity

In the quiet corners of his home,
where the sun's gentle rays kissed the earth,
the Prophet, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him,
lived a life woven with threads of humility.
No crown adorned his head, no silk draped his shoulders—
only the simplicity of a soul in service to the Divine.

He, the chosen one, the Messenger of Allah,
mended his robe with hands that carried the weight of revelation.
He milked the goat, repaired his shoes,
and swept the floor of his humble abode.
In the stillness of dawn, he washed his clothes,
his hands moving in rhythm with the heartbeat of devotion.
For he was not a king who demanded servitude,
but a servant who led by example.

Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her,
spoke of his life within the home—
a life of shared labor, of tender care.
"I was at the service of his family, " she said,
her words painting a portrait of a man
who did not shy from the mundane,
who saw no task too small, no act too humble.
And when the call to prayer echoed through the air,
he rose, leaving behind the chores of the world,
to stand before his Lord in perfect submission.

He taught men to treat their women with kindness,
to honor them, to cherish them as partners in life's journey.
"The best of you, " he said, "is he who is best to his family,
and I am the best of you to mine."
His words were not mere advice but a mirror
reflecting the beauty of his own actions.
He was a husband who listened, a father who played,
a leader who carried the burdens of his people
while never forgetting the needs of his home.

In his humility, he showed us the path—
a path where pride crumbles,
where the ego bows to the truth of service.
He taught us that greatness lies not in towering above others,
but in bending low to lift them up.
To help a loved one, to share their load,
to mend what is broken, to heal what is wounded—
this is the essence of his legacy.

O seeker of truth, let his life be your guide.
In the quiet acts of kindness,
in the humble tasks of daily living,
find the beauty of his example.
For the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
was a beacon of humility,
a light that shines through the ages,
reminding us that the simplest lives
often carry the deepest meaning.
