The Quiet Bloom Poem by Ima Ryma

The Quiet Bloom

'Good fences make good neighbors' wrote
Robert Frost in his 'Mending Wall.'
My neighbor has good fence, I note,
But not a good neighbor at all,
With noisy parties he does throw,
And keeping me awake at night.
But through the fence I see does grow
A lovely flower of delight,
A violet hibiscus that
Seems to give me a friendly smile.
And so I leave it where it's at,
To enjoy its bloom for a while.

At least until the weekend when
The neighbor will party again.
