The Racists Poem by Olusegun Sotade

The Racists

Rating: 5.0

If a book not judged by the way is outwardly covered,
how much more should human not be judged by the skin offered?
Perception of wrong judgement in roll over
from generation to generation as proselytized hangover.

Even the Judges judge nobody but action.
Where do you get colour as label of determining option?
Isn't it so foolish to have measured human's worth by the colour
of flesh which perishes and fades away like odour?

Mr Know-all and Judge, tell us why an apple of white-creamy flesh is covered with red or green?
Or explain why plastic surgery reveals white in black skin.
Why is it that a black-skinned lady was born blue-eyed?
Differences in appearance depict differences in function stride.

What then is the purpose of different-colour adaptation for chameleon,
as it changes colour according to its surroundings to elude the attack of battalion?
Security I call it, if you ask for my opinion.
Skin-colour of adaptive character meets the environment needs to form security-union.

Don't judge my look, judge my action
through the criteria of righteous sanction
established by the law of your nation.
For every entity is not a nonentity in its right position.

Only a fool eludes cleared path for jungle.
Differently coloured objects are void of clarity-trouble.
Why are we not distinguishably honoured in colour-shuffle
as strategically fit for divine designation to win racism puzzle?
