The Rain
Listen to the rain
Dropping on the roof
Rushing to the edge
Dripping down the gutter
Falling to the earth
Splashing on the ground
Pooling on the pavement
Flowing to the drain
Streaming to the sea
The sound of rain echoed
As they drop and drip
Like notes of music
Assailing your ears
At times they flow in soft strain
And at times they roar with the blowing wind
