The Real Me Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Real Me

Baby I do't want to
wear no mask
I just want to
be the real me
I just want to be
the real me
when I'm up
I'm up
When I'm down
I'm down
Life is serious business
too serious
for you to mess around
and I don't want to
mess around with it
I want to be serious
serious as I can be
Baby I don't want to be
nothing else
but the real me!
