The Red Moon

Rating: 5.0

Oh, how she has a brilliance no man can hide!
Calming the sea and the tides

Her beauty shining through the night
Guiding me with her tantalizing light

I feel the grass under my feet
Running to the edge in hopes that we'll meet

Holding hands out with my heart
All my walls fall apart

I get closer and closer still
And I stop atop of my hill

I look out...

The culmination of my fears

I scream and I shout

I'm blinded by the tears

I see something so terrible and wrong
The moon is singing a different song!

I watch in horror as she turns blood red
I can't get this gut wrenching feeling out of my head

The loving beautiful light goes away
I see it clear now that she's not here to stay

Oh, how the moon changes faces
A new adventure is what she chases

Pushing, pulling, and lulling me
And I'm left here to be

My moon, oh my moon
Perhaps one day I'll see you soon

You've chosen to guide another
And I've no mean to be a bother

I'll stay on top of my hill
Because I love and wait still

You've left and gone away
But I know I will see you someday

With running and loving beauty of light no brilliance can be hidden. Seeing something terrible is wrong. But calm moon carries love and you still wait. A brilliant poem is very interestingly penned...10
