The Red Sky Poem by Somanathan Iyer

The Red Sky

Every now and then once in the east
and once in the west, red becomes the sky
with All the bloodshed down on earth
in the name of race and also faith
in the name of God and also greed
in the name of love and also lust
massacred are many in multitudes
the blood that spilled reach the sky
paint the heavens with hellish red!
