The Rejected, The Cornerstone Poem by Ifeanyi Eze

The Rejected, The Cornerstone

Rating: 4.5

Neglect and scorn greets in the morn
Despair and dejection cuddles him gently
What can i say; he is a rejected
The shame seat awaits his due arrival
The silence of the atmosphere cheers him as he walks in
Loneliness, his companion and aide as he ascends the throne of the descents
He rules over mediocrity and wallowing is in his mockery
But the rejected has become the chief cornerstone
As he walks by the people the crowd cheer him
He now moves with dignity and his shoulders raised
His story will now be in the history books
He is a man of admiration as his crown is one of lofty
He is greatly honoured in the cities
Like a peacock he races with pride
And yet a man of great humility
They call him king
The rejected man has become the cornerstone
