The Remedy Poem by David Blake

The Remedy

Pretending not to see, I am
surrounded by the ugly lie
that is my reality.

Seeking no longer to roam the
darkness alone with no one to protect
me from this unending agony, I wander
with longing into the night.

Leaving my dreams to slowly die and
fade away I seek in vain the light that, it
only for a moment, might release me
from this insufferable pain.
