The Rhetoric Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

The Rhetoric

Oh...
The rhetoric.
And speeches made,
Quoting aged statements...
From the 1700's to validate,
Those with minds remaining to stay...
As far away as possible from today,
To reprise repeatedly...
The sighting of dinosaurs.
When their ancestors used swords.
Slaying giants more greater in size,
Than the presence of Goliath.
That came to come eclipsing the Sun!
