The Rooster Crowed Poem by Randy McClave

The Rooster Crowed

She said that she'd love me till the end
Her love to me she would always send,
She said that she would never give me any woe
I wonder if she heard the rooster crow.

She said that she would always be beside of me
In any city, state or country,
I would always be her love and her only beau
I wonder if she heard the rooster crow.

She told me that in her I could always trust
My faith in her would never fade or bust,
After the storm she would be my rainbow
I wonder if she heard the rooster crow.

By her I was again denied
Again she had broken promises, tricked and lied,
She said that I she didn't know
I wonder if she then heard the rooster crow.
