The Saddest Thing In Religion Poem by Arun Maji

The Saddest Thing In Religion

Rating: 5.0

To me, Human separates himself from beast not by intelligence, but by his ability to think. Intelligence is passive, but thinking is active process. Having intelligence but not using it equals not having it at all.

To exist as human, human must think. Religion surely has ability to contribute to human life. Yet the saddest part of religion is, religious customs and religious leaders ask you to STOP thinking. To paraphrase it, they ask you to stop being a human. Isn't that very sad?

Arun, faith is based on non-thinking. Yet, the irony is that all religions have scholars who think inside the box.++10
