The Scales Poem by Paul Warren

The Scales

There is a balancing act
Where what we do that is bad
Is weighed against the good
And on these scales we stand

Alone and naked to the world
Where everything is open
For a judgement to be made
And what is most important

That which is public knowledge
Or that which is hidden and not remembered
When your reputation and position
We're more important than truth.
