Midnight Starlight

The Scar - Poem by Midnight Starlight

Softly I whisper your name
Wondering if you can hear
My thoughts spilling out on this paper
You're gone - my heartbreaking fear

Thinking of places you may be
My imagination runs far
Wishing I'd see you secretly tonight
My hurt's turning into a scar

Regretting my every move
The days I could have been with him
Shouldn't have kept to myself
Your memory is growing dim

I know I can only blame myself
Yes, the fault was mine alone
Yet you'd never have been mine
I should have known that all along
