****** The Sea Poem by Paddy Scott Hogg

****** The Sea

Rating: 3.4

When worldly cares and woes beguile
Take me to the Sea a while
There in silken splendour deep
Gather peace a heart to keep.

When my genial spirits fail
I watch the Sea in wildest gale
Awe inspired in darkest night
Nature’s blast in all her might.

To sail upon the blue-green wave
Where Sirens call the sailor’s grave
Held within her cradled arm
Respect the sea or come to harm.

Yes! The Sea, it is my most favorite place to be. I love it when it's calm and smooth and I love it when its righteousness explodes. In my next life I will live by the sea and never will there be a stormy day for me.....I even know which Island I will pick to live on way beyond forever. A most excellent poem! ~~~~marci. :)
