The Season Poem by Randy McClave

The Season

We know the reason
For the Christmas season,
The birth of our Lord and savior
Should affect our own behavior.
We should be kind to one and another
To our every sister and brother,
And to every stranger that we meet
With a smile them we should greet.
It's a glorious and spiritual time
When we hear the church bells chime,
It is that time of year
That brings to all joy and cheer.
Let us all remember this joyful occasion
Whether your European or African or Asian,
No matter your religion or your belief
Celebrate and give hope and relief.
Let's not ridicule or mock or hate
And let us not have a debate,
Let's look up above
This is the season for peace and love.
It is almost that time of year again
Where we all should wear a grin,
Let's get on our knees and worship and pray
It's almost Christmas Day.
