The Seed, The Word
You said that You are near
To all who call to You in Truth,
And Jesus made it very clear
That Your Word alone is Truth
By it we are cleansed and sanctified-
Comforted, taught, empowered.
A lamp to our feet, the Word our Guide,
And from temptation we are delivered.
Alive, Your Word, lives to penetrate
The heart of all who would believe.
And with eternal life pulsates
To grow in them who would receive.
