The Seeking Poem by Ima Ryma

The Seeking

Since a young child, I've heard and read
How folks of faith believe in you,
How faithless deem you false or dead.
It made me wonder what is true.
So much of evil and bad is
Ever existing 'round the Earth.
I'd oft think to myself, 'Gee whiz! '
'Is seeking you of any worth? '
When I do err, when I do sin,
I should have made a better choice,
Not sought without, but sought within,
I listen and I hear your voice.

In time and place, truth comes to me.
When I do seek you, you do be.
