The Shape Of Water Poem by Chuy Amante

The Shape Of Water

Rating: 4.0

Of its own,
inherently speaking,
that which
is transparent,
when undefiled,
has what shape?

My love,
do I create
you the way
I want you?

If eye set
the parameters,
size, shape,
sound, and desired look,
am I not seeing
the real you?

Water is a cylinder
in a Ball jar
Water is mist
coming over the falls
Water is hard as a rock
in an Articular way

So what is reality?

Do I change reality
according to my wants?

I want to see you,
as you are.
I want not to put
my glasses on...
bare naked...
the real
you expressing,
undaunted.
That, I want to experience

Oh it's acceptable
exceptional
puuurfectdelectable.

I'll not change you,
be free

I guess the movie people borrowed the Title from me? This was written long before the movie (I've not seen it)

I read that it was written by Saint Symeon over 1000 years ago....titled Divine Eros

I think this is a pretty poem, but it is not the one in the movie The Shape of Water. I'm trying to find out who wrote that one. It's at the end of the movie.
