He shot at the bird with his BB gun
He shot at the bird just for fun,
Where his mother had tossed out bread
Now the little bird now lies dead.
Of course the boy gives no remorse
From his caused deadly force,
The mother exclaims that he was being a boy
Playing with his brand new toy.
He shot at the dog with his BB rifle
Because, the dogs barking he wanted to stifle,
He shot the dog right in the eye
Then the boy jumped in celebration screaming, "Bullseye"!
Of course the boy gave no care
He said that the dog should not had been barking there,
Then the father said this about his child
When younger are we all not a little wild.
He shot at animals and cans with his BB's
On the ground in yards and in the bushes and the trees,
He was excited with the power and the thrill
That he could maim and also kill.
Then he was pretending that he was a hunter in the woods
As if seeking a target in different neighborhoods,
Then in an alley he shot a cat and then a can
Then the boy was shot dead by a gun carrying man.
