The Shots Have Rung Out Poem by Randy McClave

The Shots Have Rung Out

The shots have rung out once again
Now whose to blame, is it mental illness or sin,
The Bible and owner manuals we all have read
But, sadly more people still lay dead.
People scream guns don't kill, it's the people that do
Of course that analogy is stupid, and untrue,
I could cry that cars don't kill neither do planes
But, it us who is at the wheel, the trigger, and the reins.
Life has painfully again ended for the innocent
Now everyone will cry and pray to repent,
I too pray as I wonder when will society really awaken
How many lives, must first be taken.
