The Silence Poem by Brenda Harper

The Silence

Rating: 4.5

And she cried and she cried
Until she could not cry no more
Her eyes were all red
Her lids were all sore
Her cheeks were puffy
And her mind and will was no more
Her blankness was all
That was left to adore
She stepped of the curve
No attention drew near
No one had noticed
No one had fear
She stepped on into traffic
Her mind suddenly clear
No more tears to be had
No more sadness to be found
Her message was clear
In the quietness of sound

Swimming in the sea of sadness. A sad significant story my friend!
