The Silence Poem by Dallas Carter

The Silence

Rating: 5.0

It chokes me
Suffocating me slowly.
It drowns me
Rushing water I cannot breathe.
It kills me
Slowly, eating away my sanity.
It hates me
Leaving me to suffer alone.
It loves me
Reminding me every day that it's there.
It stalks me
Watching me when I think I'm free.

Silence is beautiful
Silence is deadly
Silence is mindful
Silence is crafty
Silence is dangerous
Silence is welcoming
Silence is painful
Silence is knowing
Silence is masterful
Silence is troubling
Silence is sorrowful
Silence is me
