The Slips Poem by Santosh Misra

The Slips

THE SLIPS

Yes, there are slips
In between the cup and the lips.
When slips experienced in life
Immediately cups turn to graves, and
The ultimate end to lips
Time appears then as the director
In the entire episode with enough of monotony.
No one, even the incarnations, ever thought
If there can be a slip-less life
Beyond the fearful concept of graves or the pyres
But as one feels the knock of the end
At his doors
Suddenly he remembers
His pending responsibilities
Opt to pray for extension with reasoning
May it appear fealthy at the time
That may confirm to the standards of slips
Already ignored.
Yes slips are evident
May it be all foolish to avoid the impact
Surrender, rather can be a better solution
Than a rift.
Of course there will be slips
In between the cups and the lips.
