Craved Moments Poem by Santosh Misra

Craved Moments

CRAVED MOMENTS

Amidst the whirling and timorous moments
And the scary run of time
I crawled and crawled intensively
To fist a few pleasant memories
Keeping in mind its reinvestment for
a better tomorrow,
Towards a brilliant tranquility.

I failed,
Yes, I failed;
Timid memories whirled off my fist,
May be for a versatile tornado,
Leaving me alone, once again,
Between the wheels of desire.

I was put to live conceited
Lamenting for a bit of compassion
With an empty bowl in hand to beg.

I was of course alert
That no onemy enemy or foe,
Put any alms into it
As a consolation or otherwise
To ignite a war against peace, love and fraternity.
I would rather love to sacrifice towards
Curbing all arms and ammunition
To save me and my neighbors at large.

I keep on trying.
