The Slow Goodbye - Poem by Shane Delaney

I wait for you to said something
Good morning, good night, I love you
You don't smile like you used too
Anger seems to be a daily thing
You can go a day without even looking at me.
I ask why and you say nothing. I want to help,
I try to comfort you.
The anger seems to win
Why do I stay around?
I just sit here and wait for it to stop.
I tell myself that things will be ok
You will one day come back me.
When will that day come?
I hope it will be soon
I want to start living our lives
Things will be good
Just give us a chance
I will take care of you
I would make shore you safe.
