The Smile Poem by G. Silver

The Smile

Rating: 5.0

You smiled at me,
Because maybe, you thought,
That I was someone else;
Or maybe you're just,
The kind of person who does that,
And smiles at everyone in spite of themselves.

So I smiled at you,
Because maybe, I thought,
That was the nice thing to do;
Or maybe it's just,
The kind of person who does that,
Deserves a smile from everyone,
They smile to.

So we smiled at each other,
Because maybe we could,
And there are some things you should do when you can.
Now you're friends with me and I'm friends with you,
It's amazing what one little,
Smile can do.
