The Soldier Unknown - Poem by Frankie Stamey

I LIE IN WAIT
DON'T LOOK FOR ME

I WILL SHOW IF NEED BE
SURE AS THE SUN RISES
AND THE EAGLE SOARS

MY TEMP WILL RISE
MY RAGE WILL ROAR

LIKE A FIERCE LION OR TIGER
OR A STORM COMING TO SHORE

I'M A SOLDIER UNKNOWN

I LIVE IN EACH OF YOU
THAT YOU ALREADY KNEW

WHEN YOU BECKONED
I MATERIALIZED
YOUR TRUE SENSES
UNPARALYZED

I PROTECT YOUR NAME
YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME
I TOOK OVER YOUR FIGHT
ON MY OWN

I AM A SOLDIER UNKNOWN
