Unknown Soldiers - Poem by Frankie Stamey

YOU FIGHT TO WIN

FREEDOM FOR THIS PEN

I THANK YOU FOR OUR RIGHTS

TO SLEEP IN PEACE AT NIGHT

IF NOT FOR YOU

WE WOULD LIVE IN FEAR

OUR DREAMS COULD NOT COME TRUE

WE WOULD HAVE NO RIGHTS

DAY OR NIGHT

NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH

TO READ AND WRITE OR SAY

I PLEDGE ALLEGENCE TO THE FLAG

OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

THIS COMES FROM THE HEARTS

OF EVERY AMERICAN

I SULUTE YOU

UNKNOWN SOLDIERS
