The karmic path's far inferior
If followed hoping to fetch fruits,
And that of knowledge superior,
O thou wealth conqueor,
Seek refuge of reason's deep roots,
Wretched, those that seek karmic fruits!|| 2.49 ||

buddhau sharaņam anvićha kŗpaņāh phala-hetavāh ||

buddhau: in intellect/insight, to equipoise of mind; sharaņam: refuge; anvichċha: seeking shelter, refuge; krupaņāh: poor and wretched, pitiable (people): phala-: fruit-; hetavah: -desirous (of fruits of action, motivated by fruits) .
