The Sound Of Silence Poem by Serena Silenced

The Sound Of Silence

Rating: 4.5

I gave you time, but I still wait.
Time is a silence I cannot escape.
I'm waiting for you to walk through the door.
For everything to be as it was before.
Silence is a tremendous sound-
When you can only hear your heart pound.
The thud, thud, thud of silence fills my head.
It lulls me to sleep in our bed.

very secretly I will also tell...you once I too composed silently... all grief can be consoled silently... just place a hand on ones shoulders...you have spoken a million words... silence speaks more at times than do spoken words....have you not heard...silently he comes to me..in my deams

An extremely expressive poem, expressive of the pangs of silence and solitude. The note intensifies it further. Silence is a tremendous sound- When you can only hear your heart pound. The thud, thud, thud of silence fills my head. It lulls me to sleep in our bed. Those who have experienced it, know it how true the reflection is!

I feel one of the biggest accopmlishments in life is the realization that we need no one. To want maybe, but not need, Good poem regardless.
