The Stage - Poem by Bridget Bush

Sunlight shining at an angle
through the green leaf overhang
beaming upon a small clearing
in these woods, this is the stage
the sun a stage light
hushing the audience
that anxiously awaits
for the drama to unfold
Silently I watch the play
a cast constructed of insect and bird
I am but the audience
watching Mother Nature's beauty
unfurl before my very eyes
in this natural auditorium of woods
