The star is no more
The star has passed away
The sun has faded with shining way
Down to earth and most knowledgeable
He shall be remembered by all the people
As India’s number one citizen
He tried to improve the nation
He was never a controversial head
Recognized in international field and well read
From very poor family he rose to highest office
And saw the country with full of promises
It was scientific progress during his tenure
India was safe and secured
As good academician
He was brilliant person
He stood among dignitaries
And was coveted with many trophies
I bow my head to such noble person
Who stood for the right cause and reasons
He was never drawn into wrong belief
And by his long vision always provided the relief

Along with you, I bow my head to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's memory. Not mere words, but those coupled with concrete & concerted action, would only do justice to his commemoration. U Atreya Sarma, Pune 28 July,2015
