The Stories Poem by Randy McClave

The Stories

I wonder how many people dislike me
And not from what they see,
They dislike me from what they have heard
And how my name is slurred.
They say that I am a cheater and also a liar
And that I boast and I brag and I conspire,
And I abuse and I steal they might say
Oh yes, and I never do pray.
I don't ever help the poor or the needy
And I am tight and I am also very greedy,
And they say that I am very bad to the bone
That is why they say I am all alone.
Now, I am gossiped about and ignored and shunned
And truthfully and sadly I am stunned,
They are ready to curse me and send me to purgatory
Because, they didn't hear my side of the story.
