The Storm 2 - Poem by Billy Loving

Flash of lightening
Thunder frightening
House rumbles
While the cushion tumbles
On the window, the beating hail
While outside, the wind does wail
Ice so cold
While the events unfold
My mother cowering
While it's still showering
Darkness surrounds
Tempest confounds
Rain running through the yard
It's coming down so hard
Winds swirling
While the branches are twirling
Clouds constant churning
A situation so discerning
Winds powerful roaring
It's ferocity ignoring
Sudden calm
As quiet as a bomb
End is here
Nothing left to fear
