The Sun And Moon Poem by Adams King

The Sun And Moon

I wonder if we could be like this
Oh my brother you and I
To share everything with peaceful bliss
Like the sun and moon up high

Twelve and twelve they shared the time
For neither have once changed their mind
And always I see them smile
I've seen no brother of such kind

They used their strength to hold the world
Who know no darkness since they were born
For love they deserve the greatest reward
Oh you brother's the moon and sun

Still they visit one another
To share brotherly kiss on each lips
To be still the best of brothers
Which blind men call eclipse

For they've taught men equality
I wonder if we could be like them
To live like one big family
And follow the examples laid by them

If only, only if we could stand
Oh my brother you and I
To help and hold each other hand
Like the sun and moon up high
