The Sun Rising Poem by Minister Peacefulpoet

The Sun Rising

Rating: 5.0

The Sun Is Coming Up
Watched four movies together
Starting my bath
Head is light as a feather

You're asleep on the couch
I'm rocking out on the computer
Writing poems

They say there ain't no god
We should know right from wrong
Without a rod
We'll see
Won't we

Cars got lots of miles
Has a few miles left for more
Its just a short time
We're gone
And another one will come along

We never built a castle
Never wrote that hit song
Made some enemies
and did some things wrong
So will they
So will they
Those who point their fingers and say hey
Just wait
They'll have their day

Damn the self righteous
Nailed Jesus to the cross
Lock the door
and the keys they toss
Their loss
Their loss

We've given our care
To those who could care less
Must confess
I'm still caring
The hurt never stops
Never less
Someday I know
They will feel it
No less
They will see that the bad man was all in their head
Planted there
By the evil in their head
Planted there
By those who talk
and those who said
Believing it on the fly cause it fly
without question
No lie
But feelings never die
Feelings
Never lie

This poem says a lot of truths in not too many words. We certainly can learn from it. Well written and well done.
